Join our Startup and make a difference as DevOps Engineer!
We’re looking for a hands-on, systems-thinking DevOps Engineer to join our growing Platform Engineering team. You’ll be the fifth member of a highly collaborative, experienced DevOps team, responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the infrastructure that powers our suite of Node.js applications, hosted in AWS.

As a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer, your mission will be to:You’ll Work Closely With:
- Work closely with software engineering teams to help them develop, maintain and ship Support and enhance ourAWS infrastructure, with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Design and maintain Terraform codebases for reproducible and secure infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize ECS clusters running Node.js applications.
- Collaborate with other engineers on tooling, documentation, and best practices.
Monitor and improve infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
You’ll Work Closely With:
- Software Engineers to deploy and scale applications.
- Product Teams to ensure infrastructure supports upcoming features and growth.
- Security and Compliance to ensure high standards are met across environments.
After 3 months, Success will look like:
- You’ve contributed to at least one infrastructure upgrade or refactor.
- You’ve taken full ownership of a service or component (e.g., ECS, EKS, Terraform module).
- You’ve improved our CI/CD workflows or added monitoring/observability value.
- Software Engineers to deploy and scale applications.
- Product Teams to ensure infrastructure supports upcoming features and growth.
- Security and Compliance to ensure high standards are met across environments.
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- A passion for nonprofit tech, sustainability, or social impact!
- 2–4 years of experience as a DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, particularly ECS, IAM, VPCs, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Good knowledge of Terraform (HCL), including writing modules and managing environments.
• Comfort working in environments that use Postgres (Aurora) and Node.js services.
• Good familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar.
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to help others through knowledge-sharing and tooling.
Bonus, but not required, if you have knowledge or love of:
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Exposure to serverless architecture (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway)
- Javascript/Typescript
- Knowledge of Linux,Docker and Kubernetes best practices
